Rebecca Mitchell understands the value of public education. It propelled her from a sheep farm in Upstate New York to a biology degree from Harvard and a veterinary degree and doctorate degree in epidemiology from Cornell. As a public health scientist at a major research university, Rebecca’s research has helped drive positive changes in public health policy. Now, more than ever, her expertise is needed in state government. Rebecca is a mom of four who is ready to serve her community.

Expanding healthcare access and behavioral health services; investing in regional transit; building a strong public education system; reforming a broken criminal justice system.
