Judge Terri Jamison

Ohio

Running for: Ohio State Supreme Court

Judge Terri Jamison is seeking election to the Ohio Supreme Court to ensure that equal justice isn’t just a possibility but a certainty for all Ohioans. After working for years in the coal mines in West Virginia, Judge Jamison chose to make Ohio her permanent home to pursue law and make a difference. Judge Jamison began her law career as an attorney in the Franklin County Public Defender’s Office and as a Hearing Officer for the Ohio Unemployment Compensation Review Commission. Jamison later opened her own law office before working at the Supreme Court of the United States in 2007. Jamison then began a run in the Franklin County Court of Common Pleas in 2012 until she was elected to the Tenth District Court of Appeals in 2020.

Over the span of her career, Judge Jamison has worked to prove that courts belong to the people, therefore each and every person deserves to be treated as such. Justice, equity, inclusion, and compassion are Judge Jamison’s priorities in the courtroom, and they are the tools she feels are necessary for creating a safer Ohio.
