Nancy Metayer has called Coral Springs her home for over 20 years. As a graduate of Coral Springs Charter School and a recipient of the Martin Luther King Jr Scholarship, she is truly a product of her hometown. Nancy went on to earn her Bachelor of Science from Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University and her Masters from Johns Hopkins University, Bloomberg School of Public Health. She is an environmental scientist with a decade of public service experience, leading on issues ranging from environmental advocacy to disaster relief. Most recently, Nancy led a long-term strategy initiative, the Florida Disaster Preparedness Plan (FDPP), which focuses on building resilience in vulnerable neighborhoods across Florida.
