Following his father’s and grandfather’s footsteps, Dr. Ben Moses served for more than a decade in the US Army in the Medical Service Corps and Medical Corps. Ben currently serves as a critical care physician and anesthesiologist at the University of Virginia. Ben stepped up into leadership at UVA as a Faculty Senator, serving on the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee, as well as on the Ethics Committee for UVA Health. In his free time, Ben is an active community leader volunteering at the Nelson County Pantry, Blue Ridge Food Bank, and Habitat for Humanity, and works with PACEM (People and Congregations Engaged in Ministry) as a member of Congregation B’nai Israel, providing shelter for women experiencing homelessness.
